A pin circle of a combing-machine of the Noble type comprises an assembly of annular strips detachably held together by a locking ring : slots are formed along one curved face of each strip to receive the shanks of the pins which are secured by slight deformation of the shanks and/or strips or by soft soldering. The pins may be inclined to provide a required spacing between rows.
