A printing device comprises a flat body adapted to bear embossed type characters and includes a separate area allocated to the positioning and retention of a flat flexible card bearing identifying data, the card being retained by a retaining clip at each of its edges and yieldable tongues at two opposite corners of one longitudinal edge, the tongues being in the plane of the body of the device and including struck-up portions over which a card is adapted to slide when being inserted into position and which retain the card in its final position in co-operation with flanges overhanging the tongues. As shown, the address-plate comprises an extension 11 provided on a body portion 10 of sheet metal or the like, the part 11 carrying a card C having characteristic perforations registering with perforations formed in the extension 11. The material along the shorter edges of the body 10 is folded to form a V-shaped projection 12 to facilitate spacing of the plate 8 when stored. The card C is held between a bead 15 formed on the extension 11, retaining clips 17 and 18 and stop-members 22. The stop-members include a card-engaging edge 23 and are formed on tongues 21 stamped in the body portion 10.
