732,043. Hydraulic braking systems. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES. Dec. 7, 1950 [Jan. 22, 1949], No. 30030/50. Class 103 (1). In a hydraulic braking system for a motor vehicle, of the kind in which the braking pressure is obtained by throttling the delivery from a rotary pump a driven from the vehicle transmission, the pump is driven from the transmission on the driven side of the changespeed gearing and the brake fluid system consists solely of a reservoir b, the pump a, the throttle valve e, and a relief valve g, the braking being effected solely by the pump. A slipping clutch may be interposed between the vehicle drive and the pump a to come into action as a safety device when the pump resistance reaches a predetermined value.
