Powered material to be delivered from a container 106 on a vehicle is fluidized by air admitted to air-permeable hose-pipes 116 disposed in corrugations formed in the inclined floor of the cylindrical container and having a part-circular cross-section so that the upper parts of the floor corrugations are pointed with their sides sharply sloping towards the hosepipes. The corrugations may be formed in a support 112 (Fig. 2) in the container and may be radially disposed to deliver to a central outlet 111 from which the material is delivered to a pipe 119 by a jet 120. The pipe 119 may be disposed as shown in Fig. 2 or may rise vertically within the container to pass through its wall. In the alternative construction of Fig. 6 the corrugations 124 are parallel and deliver to a central diametrical channel 123 provided with a central outlet 111. In this construction steep walls 129 connect the ends of the corrugated bottom of the container with its wall. Two such containers are preferably mounted on a single vehicle as shown in Fig. 1, the containers being provided with manholes 107 with inset filters for direct filling and with connections 108 for pneumatic filling. An access ladder 109 and a cat-walk 110 are provided. More than two containers may be mounted on a vehicle which may be a trailer as illustrated or may be an automobile vehicle. The hose-pipes 116 are preferably of air-permeable asbestos, one end of each pipe being connected to a ring-shaped compressed air line 117 (Fig. 2) or 128 (Fig. 6) and the other ends being hermetically sealed.
