Abstract

In the method for protecting seed beds against crows disclosed in the parent Specification, the seeds are pre-coated or impregnated with a compostion comprising a di- or tri-aryl guanidine, e.g., di- or tri-phenyl guanidine or di-ortho tolyl guanidine, dissolved in oleic acid. The concentration of di- or tri-aryl guanidine in solution may be from 10 to 14 per cent by weight. From 60 to 210 g. of the di- or tri-aryl guanidine may be used for each 100 kg. of seeds.ALSO:In the method for protecting seed beds against crows disclosed in the parent Specification, the seeds are pre-coated or impregnated with a composition comprising a di- or triaryl guanidine, e.g., di- or triphenyl guanidine or diortho tolyl guanidine, dissolved in oleic acid. The concentration of di- or triaryl guanidine in solution may be from 10 to 14 per cent by weight. From 60 to 210 g. of the di- or triaryl guanidine may be used for each 100 kg of seeds.
