Abstract

727,787. Drawer slides. METAL TRIM, Ltd., and PENKALA, E. Dec. 8, 1953. No. 34107/53. Class 52 (1). The intermediate slide 2 of a telescopic drawer runner provided with antifriction balls or rollers has balls &c. 7 mounted in its web which bear against the other two slides 1, 3 through an interposed resilient plate 8 which prevents lateral play. U-shaped stops 11, protruding from each side of the intermediate slide, may be provided, the limbs being slit to engage the web of the slide on insertion through a keyhole slot 2f, tails 11b on one of the limbs being bent to enter a second aperture 2h to retain the stops. A rear roller 6 on the intermediate slide runs on the lower track of the outer slide 3, a gap 3d or recess being provided at the track end whereby the closing movement of the drawer is automatically completed.
