Abstract

727,237. Adjustable shoot. VISUAL EFFICIENCY, Ltd. March 7, 1952 [July 11, 1951], No. 16385/51. Class 78 (1). A shoot (down which tablets fall) includes two guides 10, 11, each formed with a channel 13, guide 11 being adjustable relative to guide 10 and a slot 15 permitting the discharge of powdered material. Thus, guide 11 is held by screw 16 against spring 19, the screw being adjustable in a slot formed in said guide 11. A pair of such shoots may be fed from a hopper, by rotating discs of the type disclosed in Specification 727,236, the tablets being fed to a wrapping-machine. Alternatively, there may be disposed, between hopper and wrapping- machine, a battery of such shoots adjusted for differing diameters and adapted so that any selected diameter may be used.
