727,175. Bending tubes. LAWLER, AYERS & CO., Ltd. Oct. 30, 1953 [Nov. 19, 1952], No. 29248/52. Class 83 (4). A pipe, rod or bar bender has a reciprocable former D moving between fixed plates C in which are journalled housings F, which near the end of the stroke of the former Dare rotated by flanges D2 on the former D so that rollers K in the ends of the housings F move inwards to complete the bending. During the initial part of the bending, the rollers K are prevented from moving outwardly by pins L inserted in holes L1 in the plates C. The'pins L are inserted behind the workpiece M to effect stripping when the former D is retracted.
