Class 17(2) A foot-arch support comprising three layers sewn together at 20 is provided with a pad 15 in. a forward extension 14 ,to give support to the front-end of a short or weak first metatarsal. A further weightdistributing pad 21 is provided to underlie all the metatarsals immediately rearward of their contact points. In a modification, pockets are provided in these positions to receive pads which can be of variable thickness.
