Abstract

<PICT:0716724/IV (a)/1> A thermal insulating container is formed of cellular polyvinyl chloride which is shape-retaining but yields elastically to stress so that the container contents may be deformed, e.g. ice cubes may be separated by pressing the container sides. Furthermore, the container is a single, moulded piece having a cellular core 10 covered by a tough film 12 which forms the smooth surface of the container. A cover may be formed of the same material in the same manner, i.e. as described in Specification 714,606. Specifications 429,316 and 433,251, [both in Group XIII], also are referred to.
