'Class 78 (1) In endless conveyers of the kind comprising a multi-stranded cable having a single or multi-start helix on the outer surface to form spaced projections and longitudinally movable in a conduit or tube which is slotted to permit the engagement of the cable, the cable 8 with its projecting helices has attached thereto in spaced positions. by, e.g. induction brazing, apertured or slotted lugs 9 or pins or studs all to project in the same plane. Such lugs pass through the slot 11. Fig. 7, in the casing and the projecting part is readily connectible with the carrier 15 which in the embodiment described is guided on a rail 18 in a.manner similar to that shown in Specification 570,577. The surface of the lug 9 which is to be attached to the cable is preferably shaped in accordance with its position of contact including helical grooves and may include a saw-cut for carrying a brazing wire or strip.
