Abstract

A method of making alloys of Pb and Cu with or without other elements such as Sn, Cd, Sb, comprises stirring a quantity of molten Pb or Pb alloy with a massive body (or bodies) of Cu, the total volume of the said body or bodies being many times greater than the volume of Cu to be added. The addition may be made by means of a rod or rods of Cu rigidly secured in a support which is moved, to cause the stirring.
