Abstract

The subject-matter is identical with that of Specification 709,197 but the claims are directed towards the method of facilitating "stub" insertion, between two tobacco filter portions which have been bodily separated as by not more than substantially one stub length, by temporary enlargement of the separating space through endwise pressure, as by the stub itself on insertion, on one of the portions to cause endwise contraction thereof. Specifications 703,982 and 709,203 also are referred to.
