708,505. Washing-machines. PRAILLET, X. Oct. 15, 1952 [Sept. 12, 1952], No. 25884/52. Class 138 (2) A washing machine having openings 2 in two opposite sides of its casing 1 is provided with pocket shaped members 3 of resilient material, each formed with a peripheral portion 4 adapted to fit around the edges of the opening 2 so that the member 3 is held between the outer casing 1 and the actual washing container 5, the member 3 being of such dimensions as to enable the fingers to be inserted therein for the purpose of moving the machine. The member 3, which may be of rubber, prevents water and soap suds from reaching the drive mechanism of the machine.
