Abstract

A mixture of paraffin waxes is fractionated by passing it through a centrifuge having zones at different temperatures and withdrawing the fractions from the centrifuge as they melt. The temperatures of the inlet and the outlet of the centrifuge are 47 DEG C. and 60 DEG C. respectively, and the fractions are withdrawn from ten points equally spaced between inlet and outlet.
