706,662. Discharge apparatus. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. March 20, 1952 [March 21,1951], No. 7213/52. Drawings to Specification. Class 39(1) [Also in Group XXIII] A glass .exhaust tube through which mercury is passed into the envelope of an electric discharge device, is coated internally with an oxide of titanium, antimony or tin so as to provide a surface which is resistant to wetting by the mercury. The coating is carried out whilst the tube is being formed (see Group XXIII).
