Class 52(4) The frame member of a chair, or the like is formed with recesses 2 the inner ends 5 of which extend to the outwardly directed surface 3 and with a longitudinally extending groove 4 which intersects the recesses along a line above the horizontal diameters of the recesses. Spring assemblies are secured in position by a length of wire 6 with portions 7 which lie in the groove 4 and eye-like portions 3 which extend into the recesses 2 to engage the ends 9 of the spring 10.
