Class 52(iv) Superposed slabs 10, 11 of sponge rubber, cut from the sheet and preferably cavitated, are bounded by boxing strips 25, also of sponge rubber, of less height than the assembly. The re-entrant edges 27...30 are cemented together to produce rounded edges to the cushion. Crowned surfaces can be produced bv use of an insert of smaller area between the slabs.
