Abstract

698,301. Filter-presses. SANTELLI, E. Oct. 16, 1951 [Oct. 18, 1950], No. 24076/51. Class 46 A filtering apparatus comprises a plurality of filter elements 3 forming a conventional filter press enclosed within a casing 1 which can be hermetically sealed by a door 2 and the press is removably supported within the casing for withdrawal as a whole out of the casing for-separation of the elements 3 for cleaning and repair. The rigid plates of each element 3 rest by means of lugs 7, Fig. 2, on a frame 4 provided with rollers 5 which run on rails 6 fixed to the inside of the casing. An extension 6', Fig 1, of the rail which enters through the open doorway is provided to support the filter press on removing it from the casing, the outer ends of the extension resting on a support. The elements 3 may be joined together in several partial packs. '
