697,680. Animal pens. BEATTY BROS., Ltd. March 5, 1951 [Aug. 29, 1950], No. 5221/51. Class 20(i) [Also in Groups I and XXV] A floor or ground anchor for an animal pen comprises a lower member 13 adapted to be permanently embedded on the floor, the member having a centrally positioned circu-. lar shaped well; the top edge of which is surmounted by an upstanding flange 18 defining a recessed seat, a pair of obliquely positioned flanges 23, 24 projecting from the inner wall of the well and forming with the bottom of the well, a channel, diametrically opposed openings in the flanges forming an entrance into the channel, a pair of diametrically opposed lugs 16 extending outwardly from the lower part of the cylin-- drical body of an upper member 14 being adapted to enter the openings and to be engaged below the flanges, the body also having an outwardly extending flange 17 adapted to be supported on the seat and the member being adapted to support a stall post 11. The lower member. also has an outwardly extending peripheral flange 19 at its lower end and depending members 30 to anchor it in the ground. An aperture 17 in the upper post is provided for a detachable post 11. A cover plate for the lower post may be provided for use when it is not engaged by the upper part.
