697,349. Blow-lamps. MONITOR ENGINEERING & OIL APPLIANCES, Ltd. Feb. 29, 1952 [March 15, 1951], No. 6244/51. Classes 75(i) and 75(iv) In a blow-lamp or stove fuel tank in which a fuel feed tube extends from an inlet near the bottom of the tank and extends through the top of the tank to a burner the feed tube extends through an opening in the tank bottom and is rigidly secured therein with its projecting end being screw threaded to receive a removable cap and its side wall near the junction With the tank bottom being provided with an opening or openings. A fuel feed tube 4 extending through the top wall 3 of the fuel tank is secured to the tank bottom 2 and has a number of openings 11 in its side for passage of fuel to the burner 7. A plug 8 screwed into the lower end of the tube 4 has the underside of its head conically shaped to receive a sealing ring ,10. In an alternative arrangement shown in Fig. 2 the pressure in the tank is maintained by an air pump 13 provided in the lamp handle and the fuel is fed to the tube 17 through a number of holes 19 therein and an annular groove 20 connected by radial holes 21 leading to a central hole 22 formed on the end of the screwed plug 18. The lower end of the tube 4 may be turned or spun over and then brazed or soldered to the tank bottom 2, or as shown in Fig..2 the tube is attached to the inwardly turned edge of an opening 15 formed in the bottom plate 16. A wick 12 is provided inside the feed tube 4.
