Abstract

696,740. Cooling liquids. DEHN, F. B. (Charpiat Corporation). Jan. 18, 1952, No. 1528/52. Class 29 [Also in Group XVIII] Apparatus for producing a cooled, carbonated, syrup drink in large quantities comprises a double walled, insulated, container 10 having an upper compartment housing two water storage tanks 29, 31, two syrup tanks, 42, 43, and a carbonator 35, all surrounded by ice, and a lower compartment containing an automatically controlled pump supplying water to the storage tanks through a filter and water coil 27. The water leaves the storage tank by pipe 36 having a low pressure gauge and passes to a motor pressure switch controlling the motor of an electric pump. Water also flows through pipe 34 to the carbonator which is supplied with gas through valve 47 and pipe 46. The carbonated water flows by pipe 63 to a dispensing faucet where it mixes with syrup from the tanks which are under pressure of gas from pipe 51. Gas is supplied from another tap. The whole container has a removable lid.
