Abstract
The method and apparatus relating to the removal of scale from heated blanks is the same as that described in the parent Specification but the method is applied to other shapes of blanks. The shoot through which the blanks are conveyed to the forging dies is made of a cross-section substantially the same as that of the blanks so that the scale is knocked off during the passage of the blanks through the shoot.
