Abstract

A screen coated with a polymeric silicone, preferably a liquid polymeric dihydrocarbon silicone, especially a dilower alkyl silicone such as dimethyl silicone the polymerization of which has been stopped at a point at which it is non-volatile at ordinary temperatures but is liquid at such temperatures, is provided in a surge tank surrounding the entrance thereto to prevent foaming of the coating liquid in a circulating system in a coating machine (see Group VIII) which liquid is then returned to the reservoir for further use.
