694,110. Time - alarm s i g n a l s. INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION. April 24, 1950 [June 28, 1949], No. 10000/50. Class 118 (ii) [Also in Group XVIII and XXXIX] In an electrically-operated time-indicating system comprising a transmitter 5, Fig. 1, controlled by a master clock 1 to send high frequency signals to a power circuit 2 supplying secondary clocks 10 to be synchronized by said signals (see Group XVIII) means are provided whereby other highfrequency signals are transmitted to the power circuit for operating audible alarm devices 8, 9 connected thereto. The transmitter includes an oscillator and the frequency of the signals at a particular time is determined by the value of the capacity in the oscillator circuit at that time. The master clock includes means for automatically changing the value of this capacity at the appropriate times so that different high frequency signals are transmitted by the transmitter to the power circuit. Each audible alarm device is associated with a receiver, Fig. 6 (not shown), which includes circuit means selectively responsive to that particular signal by which the alarm device is to be operated.
