Abstract

692,747. Key holders. LATHAM MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., and LATHAM, W. G. Feb. 13, 1952 [April 11, 1951], No. 8424/51. Class 44 In a key holder of the kind comprising side-byside rigid tunnels 4 each of angular cross-section fixed to an attachment plate 1 for the reception each of a flat-shanked key pushed into a tunnel against a blade spring 5 provided within each tunnel by pierced-out portions of the attachment plate, the tunnels are formed in a single plate of metal or in other suitable material providing the tops and sides of the separate key compartments and also bars 8 by which the tunnels are clinched to the attachment plate. As shown, the single piece of metal is formed with slight depressions 6 to provide intermediate tunnel walls the ends of the depressions and the ends of side walls being provided with clinching bars 8. The top of each tunnel is formed with a piercing 9 to indicate correct threading of the key relative to the spring 5.
