Abstract

692,456. Code telegraphy. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., TERRY, V. J., RIDLER, D. S., and WEIR, D. A. March 25, 1949 [April 1, 1948], No. 10670/51. Divided out of 692,411. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (iii). The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that of Specification 692,411, but the claims relate to a regenerative repeater for start-stop telegraph signals which comprises a normally operating source of pulses of a repetition rate which is high compared with the signal speed, means operative upon the receipt of a start element to cause said pulses to be applied to a counting circuit, means controlled by the counting circuit for examining the condition of each received signal element at its nominal centre, means controlled by the condition of the signal element examined to condition a transmitter circuit to transmit a similar element, and means for maintaining the transmitter circuit in that condition until it i again reconditioned. Specifications 621,817, [Group XXXIX], 636,700, [Group XL (c)], 639,827, 691,901, 692,415, [Group XIX], 692,457 and 692,458 also are referred to.
