692,020. Retractive switches. GRAVINER MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., MATHISEN, A., and WILKINSON SWORD CO., Ltd. April 24, 1952. No. 705/53. Divided out of and addition to 692,015. Class 38 (v) A crash or impact detecting device for use on aircraft comprises a resilient tubular casing e containing three superimposed conductor strips g<SP>1</SP>, h<SP>2</SP>, g<SP>2</SP> normally separated by insulating elements il but adapted to be brought together when pressure is applied to the casing to close a circuit to fire-preventing apparatus &c. The strips g<SP>1</SP>, g<SP>2</SP> are electrically connected by a rivet g<SP>3</SP> and they and the strip h<SP>2</SP> are respectively connected to leads 2, 3. The tubes e may run along the underside of the fuselage, wing tips &c.
