Class 18 A member of triangular pyramidical form for protecting and strengthening the corners of boxes, packing cases, cartons and the like and adapted to be held thereon by binding wires 4, Fig. 1, or straps 6; Fig. 2 (not shown), extending round the case at right angles to one another, or by both, has on each wall at least two pairs of raised lugs 2 for locating the binding wires and further pairs of raised spaced lugs 5 to receive the binding straps. The protecting member may be made of metal or plastic.
