Abstract

690,660. Foot-arch supports. FORSTER, W. A. May 7, 1951 [May 25, 1950], No. 10680/51. Class 17 (ii). A foot-arch support has a central member with a corrugated base and forward and rear extensions which are adjustable to vary the length of the support. The central member 1 has a corrugated base plate 2 of yieldable material such as rubber and a cover 3 forming chambers such as 4 for the reception of insets 5, 6. The forward and rear extensions 11, 16 have base plates 12, 17 of yieldable material corrugated on their upper faces to engage with the corrugations of the plate 2 and to provide adjustment for the length of the support. The interengaging surfaces may alternatively be provided with rectangular ribs and grooves. The extensions 11, 16 have covers 13, 18 cut away to receive the central member 1.
