Abstract

690,037. Machinery guards. TATTERSALL, A. R. Dec. 29, 1950 [Dec. 31, 1949], No. 33451/49. Class 80 (iv). An angularly - adjustable quadrant - shaped guard for a grinding wheel of the type which is mounted at the end of its spindle comprises a side A pivoted on a detachable plate G by a screw whose nut H clamps the guard in position, a curved portion C, and a side B. The side B has a curved slot, Fig. 3 (not shown), engaged by a pin on a flanged axle cover L to limit the movement of the guard. According to the Provisional Specification the guard may be clamped by a nut on this pin.
