The base frame of a refrigerator cabinet, shown in plan, is formed of a longitudinally extending tube 1 and transverse supports 2.. 5 made from U. T or angle irons formed with openings, fitted over the tube 1 and welded thereto. U-irons 6, 7 are welded to the ends of the transverse supports, and the other members of the refrigerator cabinet are built on to the base so formed.
