Abstract

682,836. Mops. O-CEDAR CORPORATION. Jan. 23, 1951, No. 1709/51. Class 19. In a self-wringing mop of the type comprising a presser plate 13 hinged to the rear edge of the mop head 4, a fastener is provided for locking the plate 13 in a raised position. The fastener comprises a tongue 18 projecting from the edge of the mop head and having an upwardly-inclined arcuate portion which frictionally engages a corresponding portion 24 of the edge of the presser plate. The tongue 18 is provided with a land 26 for retaining the plate 13 in the raised position; alternatively, a rivet, Fig. 6, (not shown) may be attached to the tongue for this purpose.
