Abstract

682,693. Dip-stick wipers. EMMS, P. H. Jan. 1, 1951 [Jan. 11, 1950], No. 677/50. Class 19. A dip-stick wiper comprises, as shown, the combination of a dished circular sheet metal part b having therein a central hole e, a flat sheet metal disc a also having a central hole e and having a stem c, and a pair of absorbent pads f of semi-circular form contained between the sheet metal parts and having their straight edges in mutual contact, the sheet metal parts being secured together by tangs d. The central holes are of a sufficiently large diameter to allow a metal dip stick to pass. The stem c may serve as a handle which may be secured in desired position by a bolt, screw or the like or bent over in the form of a hook.
