Abstract

681,439. Shaving-stick holders. UNIVERSAL METAL PRODUCTS, Ltd., and BIDDULPH, M. Oct. 11, 1950 [Oct. 29, 1949], No. 27780/49. Class 18 A holder for a stick of shaving soap comprises a tapered inwardly directed rim which engages the protruding stick to prevent it being pushed back into the holder. In one embodiment, the rim g is carried on a ring f fitting over the holder body c. The stick is advanced by pushing upwardly a slideable plug b. In another embodiment the rim is integral with the body and the stick is placed in the holder through the base of the body, the stick being advanced by a plug as before. The Provisional Specification states that the holder may have a screwed cap and that the ring carrying the rim may have a screw connection with the body, and that the rim may be downwardly directed.
