677,947. Piezo-electric crystals. BRUSH DEVELOPMENT CO. July 24, 1950 [Jan. 6, 1950], No. 18404/50. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (viii). A piezo-electric crystal has a major face covered with lubricating material, and a moisture-resisting coating is secured around the crystal, the lubricant serving to decouple the coating from the crystal for motions of the latter in the plane of its major face. The coating may be metal foil, and the lubricant polyisobutylene or molybdenum disulphide. Specifications 318,934, [Class 40 (v)], 641,959 and 656,164 are referred to.
