671,203. Control of A.C. motors. WARNER & SWASEY CO. July 31, 1950. [Aug. 15, 1949] No. 19091/50. Class 38 (iii). [Also in Group XXII] A two-speed, reversible, electric motor 26 rotates the spindle of a turretlathe (see Group XXII) and is controlled by a set of switches S1-S6 operated by an insulated arm indexed with the turret, switches AS and AR actuated by movement of the turret slide and a further set of switches RS, FS, HS, BS and TS operated either automatically or manually. Automatic operation of the latter switches is controlled by rotating armature solenoids 1S-6S, SS and TRS, which are effective only when the automatic starting switch 116 is closed. A start switch 167 and plugging switch PS are included in the control circuit. Specification 603,286 is referred to.
