Abstract

670,357. Electrodeposition of rubber. MULLER, R. H., and FRANKLIN & SONS, Ltd., J. G. June 13, 1950 [June 21, 1949], No. 16508/49. Class 41. [Also in Groups V and VI] A former, Fig. 3, comprising a ring part 1 and an endless fin 2, is coated with rubber by making it the anode of an electrolytic bath of latex. When the rubber coating is dry, it is cut along the top edge of the fin 2 and stripped from the former. The fins 2a, 2b thus formed may be sealed by adhesive to form a ring suitable for forming part of a face mask. A stem 7 on the former may form an inlet tube 7a which may be used for inflating the ring.
