667,243. Graters. ETABLISSEMENTS SIMON & DENIS SOC. ANON. Dec. 15, 1949 [June 8, 1949], No. 32170/49. Class 28 (ii). In a food grater the axial pressure of the rotor 3 on the perforated base 12 can be varied by sliding a wedge 8 between a fixed part 1 of the grater and an abutment or collar 11 associated with the rotor, The wedge end 10 may be forked and stepped or in the form of a curved spring and is slid along as required by a pin 7 movable in a slot in the diametrical cross bar. Alternar tively sliding wedges 8<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 6, may be mounted at each end of a shortened cross bar 1<SP>1</SP> to fit under side catches 14. An upper slide bar 9 fixed on the pin 7 may be calibrated to indicate the pressure.
