665,785. Road-traffic signs. SHIELDS, D. May 25, 1950 [Aug. 6, 1949], No. 20484/49. Class 3(ii) [Also in Group I] A temporary and portable fence, boundary or obstruction indicator comprises a hollow element 1 of rubber or similar material which tapers towards one end and has an outward flange 2 at the other end and which is constructed so that a plurality of the devices can nest within one another. The flange 2 engages the ground and a metal eyebolt 4 is provided at the top through which a rope may be passed to form a temporary fence. A metal reinforcing ring may be embedded in the rubber at the junction of the flange with the body. The outside may be painted with bands of contrasting colours.
