Abstract

660,729. Copying-telegraphy. TRIGGS, W. W. (Faximile, Inc.). July 1, 1949, No. 17481/49. Class 40 (iii). In a facsimile recorder employing a helical electrode 7 co-operating with a linear electrode 9 to record on an electrolytic recording sheet 8, the helical electrode is mounted on a support 6 so as to be spaced away from and out of contact with the surface of the recording drum 5. A rotatable cylindrical brush 14 cleans the helical electrode along its entire contact-surface during each revolution of the drum. Fig. 4 (not shown) illustrates an arrangement employing a stationary elongated brush. Fig. 5 (not shown) illustrates an alternative shape for support 6. The linear electrode 9 is supported in elongated slots which allow vertical displacement and is urged against the recording sheet by springs, Fig. 3 (not shown).
