Abstract

The spring steel band of a surgical truss is encased in rubber sponge which is itself enclosed in an outer sheath of impervious rubber. The sponge rubber mixture is applied by dipping or spraying or may be moulded around the spring. The outer impervious coating may also be applied by dipping or spraying. Specification 657,065, [Group VI], is referred to.ALSO:The spring of a surgical truss comprises a spring steel band encased in rubber sponge which is itself enclosed in an outer sheath of impervious rubber. The sponge rubber mixture may be applied by dipping or spraying or may be moulded around the spring, and the outer coating may be applied by dipping or spraying. The two applications are vulcanized separately. Specification 657,065 is referred to.
