Abstract

655,932. Woven fabrics; threads. RADIO PATENTS CORPORATION. Nov. 27, 1945, Nos, 32021 and 32022. Convention dates March 31, 1939, and March 16, 1940. Drawings to Specifications. [Classes 120(iii) and 142(iv)] [Also in Group VIII] A plain-weave open mesh fabric or screen comprises intersecting elastic and resilient warp and weft rods or single filament, strands of non-metallic material each having a series of permanent, regularly recurring obtuse crimps in alternately opposite directions, forming a succession of oppositely directed troughs in each rod or strand, the bases of the troughs on any rod or strand complementarily registering and engaging with bases of troughs in any rods or strands which it intersects. The rods or strands may be composed of synthetic polymerization products such as vinyl resins, aldehyde condensation products or alkyd resins, cellulose derivatives such as cellulose nitrate or acetate or ethyl or benzyl cellulose, or nylon. The fabric may be made and treated as described in Specification 655,958.
