Abstract

654,677. Radiators for heating buildings. HOLOPLAST, Ltd. June 23, 1948, No. 16825. [Class 64(ii)] [Also in Group XI] A heating panel comprising two sheets of insulating material 4, 5 held in rigidly .spaced relationship by integral transverse webs 6 dividing the space between the sheets into parallel rectilinear channels 2, is provided with heating means in each or some of the channels. The heating means may comprise electric heating elements (see Group XI), but according to the Provisional Specification, gas, liquid or steam heating means may be employed. The panels may be erected in adjacent side by side or superposed edge to edge relationship by means of marginal open edged channels or grooves receiving keying pillars, posts, bars or strips. The panels may be rigid, heat and moisture resistant, homogeneous shells of hardened thermosetting synthetic resin or of laminated fibrous sheet material permeated and bonded together by the said resin. The outer face of each panel may be perforated for the circulation of air within the channels. Specifications 546,089, [Group VIII], 607,877, [Group XI], and 644,010, [Group XV], are referred to.
