Abstract

Pure crystalline alkali or alkaline-earth metal salts of penicillin are manufactured by using N-ethylpiperidine in place of N-ethylhexamethyleneimine in the process of Specification 639,231. Detailed examples are given. Specifications 604,563 and 607,004 also are referred to.
