[Class 120(ii)] [Also in Group VIII] A textile roller cover comprises a tension section 16 of hard resilient rubber, a compression section 14 of soft cushioning rubber, and a neutral axis section 15 containing wire reinforcing elements 18. The rubber may be natural or synthetic and the reinforcing elements may be steel cords twisted from several fine wires or cables of several such cords and may be arranged in one or more helical layers, each layer being staggered with respect to those adjacent, or the elements may comprise one or more layers each comprising a woven wire fabric which may be laid on a bias or with longitudinally and transversely arranged warp and weft, or may be a single reinforcement of braided wire. The wire may be steel coated with copper, rubber or resins to improve the adhesion to the rubber, or may be incorporated with fibres of textile material or synthetic rubber. The covers may be made separately and may be cemented on to the roller or may be sprung thereon. ____
