Abstract
647,117. Agricultural implements. HORSTMAN, B. G., FAIRE, J. H. C., HORSTMAN, S. A., and HORSTMAN, Ltd. July 27,1948, No. 20042. [Class 6(i)] In a harrow or like cultivator of the kind in which tines 3 are carried by one or more mechanically actuated tirie bars, 2 which are transversely reciprocated, the tines 3 are attached to bars 2 by means of rubber or like resilient bushings 7. As shown, the tine is inserted into a socket 1 welded to the bar 2, and locked in place by a plug 8. In a modification the socket and head of the tine are cylindrical and a shoulder on the tine abuts against the bottom of the socket. The invention may be embodied in an implement as described in Specification 628,789. Specification 646,318 is referred to.
