Abstract

646,561. Electric fires. ROBERTS, T. A., and HAPPERFIELD, G. J. Feb. 23, 1945, No. 4620. [Class 39(iii)] Two or more heating units each comprising a longitudinally extending heating element 2 mounted within a polished curved reflector 3, are mounted within a frame 1 with their longitudinal axes disposed vertically in spaced parallel planes, and in such manner that one or more or each of the units is individually movable to direct the heat in the desired direction. In the example, Fig. 2, there are three heating units and the outer two are movable about one of their longitudinal edges. A system of levers (not shown) or handles 4 of heat-resistant material are provided for turning the units.
