[Class 40 (viii)] The perpendicular cross-section of a cavity resonator in the form of a rectangular prism is a parallelogram with an angle of 45 degrees and sides in the ratio 1: #2. This gives a higher Q for a given height and operating frequency than a cylindrical resonator or one of square cross section.
