Abstract

640,035. Joint-making packing. KLINGER, K. Aug. 12, 1947, No. 22410. Convention date, Oct. 25, 1946. [Class 122(iii)] Sheets of packing material are coated with graphite by passing them through a bath of graphite dust contained in a substantially enclosed space. The sheets 3 are passed through a suitably packed slot 4 into the bottom of, upwardly through and out of, a vessel 1, containing graphite dust 2 in the lower part thereof, by conveyer rollers 6, 11 and guides 7, 8, 10, 12 ; the graphite dust 2 is agitated by agitator vanes 15 on rotating shafts 14 and that deposited on the sheets 3 is brushed 'in by a pair of roller brushes 9 mounted in the upper part of the container 1 and adapted to act on both sides of the sheets.
